According to my unofficial family tree, my 13th great grandfather was Lord Chancellor to Bloody Mary. The historical record says that he placed the crown on her head at her coronation ceremony. It’s neat to know that someone from my family was in the royal court, but somehow, I had hoped my family would have been on Lady Jane Grey’s side of things. :/
