In the Fall of 2011, I was faced with the challenge of how to teach Church History to our youth. By God’s grace, I was introduced to “Christian History Made Easy” book and PowerPoints. It is simple, straight forward and user-friendly. Our students celebrated the times the Church was beautiful and in line with Scripture and mourned the times she embarrassed herself by going her own way. I was pumped to find out that it is now in DVD format so that more may understand their Christian History.

Keep teaching and writing the truth. You are making a difference in the lives you touch. Love your honesty and the humble, openness of your writing. I think I need to get your book and study our Christian History. Love you, T

This past Friday I was able to hear you lecture on eschatology. One thing that I really enjoyed were the examples you used from church history to drive home some of your points. Your lecture was great and it left me wanting to hear and learn more. It allowed me to see that if we want to learn more about the future we must look to the past.

Many years ago, when a good friend of mine suddenly tried to persuade me and others that the second coming of Christ had already happened, it was the writings of the church fathers, in addition to Holy Scipture, that helped me refute the heresy that he adhered to.

I have been in ministry since 1979 and I am an inspired and encourage withy he Family Equipping Model as any movement I have ever seen. I’ve started a new sermon series based upon the future direction of our church. It’s called “Family Refamed.” You can view the notes at http://www.philsallee.info
Any chance I could see/meet you when you are in Oklahoma speaking at the Missional Ministry Conference in October?

Will you be at the Missional Ministry Conference? If so, we might connect there during the conference on Monday evening. When we arrive in Oklahoma, we’re visiting with friends from when I served as pastor in Oklahoma then I have to make a flying dash back after my last session on Tuesday, to oversee hybrid courses at Southern and to speak at an adoption conference in Louisville.

If you will save some space for us Monday night, we will be at the Missional Ministry Conference. We are a few weeks into our search for a Family Equipping Pastor for Children’s families. I think spending some time with you would be valuable.

Phil, I had you on my calendar—but unfortunately it now appears that the entire conference has been cancelled. I guess we will have to meet up some other time.

Love Christian history, and really appreciated the brief video I’ve seen of this. Would love to use it in our homeschool co-op, with our own kids, in church, or all of the above. Of course, if I had a Tardis I could go back and witness it all for myself, but since I don’t…

I have always found church history so challenging with so many names and beliefs. I appreciate authors with a heart for making such an important time easier to read and understand.

I am very interested in Christian History. Too many Christians don’t know their history and when someone knocks at your door they often know more about our history than we do. Atheists also misrepresent our history. We all need to be able to answer these charges against Christian history as ambassadors for Christ.

Looks like a good resource to remember the mighty acts of God in the days of our fathers…to see their tragedies and triumphs,
to be encouraged with the great cloud of witnesses thru the ages.

During my time at seminary, I was surprised to find out that my favorite class was Christian History. How everything interrelated and helped to explain where certain ideas came from was fascinating to me. I have sought to instill this fascination within my own children and having a resource like this would go a long way towards developing an appreciation for the providence of God through the ages.

We use your curriculum in our high school Church History class and we have really enjoyed it. Prior to finding this book, we looked into a lot of other options and found that many of them were dry and boring with no pictures. Our students immediately got excited about the pictures when we started using your book. The supplemental resources are very helpful as well. Thank you for giving us the option of hard copy or ebooks! Very few textbooks provide such an option.

I find Christian history interesting. When you see where we are in relation to where we came from, you have no choice but to think.
